Art Basel Miami

I had such an amazing time experiencing Art Basel Miami for the very first time!

Billions of dollars worth of art in one place.

Masterpieces from all over the world and art you have been reading about for years and years as a part of your history lesson.

It was truly a blast to be a part of.

I was of course very exited to see art from Andy Warhol.

In high school I actually wrote my finals about him and his pop art. So it was fun to finally see his art in real life.

Among so many others of course.

I especially have a thing for the modern art with all the lights and bright colors!

There is no doubt in my heart ill be back next year!

Art Basel from Wiki:

Art Basel is an international art fair with four shows staged annually in Basel, Switzerland; Miami Beach, Florida; the Wynwood Art District in Miami, Florida; and Hong Kong, China. Each show is organized into sectors which showcase contemporary artworks by established and newly emerging artists. In addition to the artworks shown by participating galleries, the shows offer parallel programming produced in collaboration with the host city’s local institutions. While Art Basel provides a platform for galleries to show and sell their work to collectors, museum directors, and curators, it also attracts a large international audience of art spectators and students.

 Art Basel Miami:

Spearheaded by Noah Horowitz, Art Basel’s Director Americas, the 2015 show in Miami Beach, Florida, presented 267 leading international galleries from 32 countries.[1] Over five days, the show attracted 77,000 visitors including private collectors and directors, curators, trustees and patrons of nearly 200 museum and institution groups. The show hosted first-time collectors from Cambodia, Ethiopia, Nicaragua, Romania, Togo, and Zimbabwe.
